In
December 1998 and January 1999 we spent 3 glorious weeks in Sri Lanka
on honeymoon. A lull in the fighting between the Tamil Tigers and the
government forces meant that it seemed like a relatively safe thing
to do, and sure enough we had no problems by staying away from the North.
There were however some major battles in the North East while we were
there.
